What on earth is
"Puppy Play?"

So, what's the deal with "puppy play"? It can go in so many different directions. Fundamentally, it's a role play in which at least one person plays the part of a puppy or dog. It can range from innocent and playful to a little kinkier.

Play together
Play & Bark

Many puppy players (puppies and leash owners) are simply looking for a balance to their stressful daily lives and have found a way to escape for a while by playing puppies and playing together.

More than just playing
Gear & Fun /

Gear (i.e. fetish clothing in the broadest sense) and more than just playing together is a big part of the puppies and handlers. They are mostly dedicated to their role, and it is more than just a "hobby" and stress reliever.

This place is all about clear affiliation and connection with the classic BDSM fetish, and a clear distribution of roles. It's for those who know what they want and what awaits them.

We believe in the Barkcode.

The Barkcode is just a simple idea to help us all get along better with each other (internally) and with people outside our community (externally). The code of conduct is there to help us all get along, and it should be seen as a recommendation and guideline that helps us to interact with each other in the best way possible.

  1. Handlers and Puppies must treat each other with respect.

All members of the community treat each other with the necessary respect, regardless of puppy play. This means ensuring that there is a human at both ends of a leash at all times, regardless of their role in puppy play.

  2. Handlers and puppies do not discriminate.

  3. Handlers and puppies know how to respect the place in which they are.

In public spaces and at all events, it is imperative to ensure that other people present are not disturbed or given a negative impression. Regulations, house rules, or guidelines in public spaces or the respective locations must be adhered to.

  4. Handlers and puppies must remember that not everyone is familiar with puppy play.

In public spaces or at events where people from outside the scene may be present, it is imperative that you ensure that they are not harassed. Behave considerately towards everyone present.

  5. No means no. Every safe word counts, even if you hear it in your role.

No matter how deep you are in your own role, a safe word always counts, without any exception. And if you hear a clear no – even from outsiders – you know it's time to stop.

  6. Handlers and puppies must be polite and take the initiative in answering anyone with questions.

It is important to be prepared for questions, especially in public spaces and when dealing with outsiders. As the owner of a leashed dog, it is your responsibility to respond to questions or clarify any misunderstandings. Even in the event of provocations, it is essential to react objectively and politely to avoid conflicts.

  7. You must always ask for consent and expect to be asked for consent.

Consent must be asked for and questions about consent must be expected, both within the community and scene as well as when dealing with outsiders.

  8. Being a Puppy is not an excuse to break the bark code

  9. Leash owners and puppies must be able to say no at any time and correct the behavior of others if it could harm them or others.

It is not always possible to immediately assess the feelings of others. Regardless of your own role, you must be able to object at any time. If you notice harmful behavior towards yourself or others, you must intervene.

  10. Nobody plays if they can't or don't want to play by the rules.

If you cannot or will not follow the rules or respect safewords, you should avoid puppy play for your own protection and that of others.

  11. If you break the rules, you are responsible as a human.

It is of the utmost importance that you adhere to the legal situation at all times. If you break the bark code or legal regulations, you, as an adult, are solely responsible for your actions and the consequences. It is crucial to understand that you will always be treated as a human being before the law, and your role in puppy play is irrelevant.

  12. Respect personal belongings.

Never, ever, touch a puppy's personal items without asking! A puppy will let you know when he wants to let you into his private space and/or headspace.
